Dad/Grandpa... You were always there when I needed you. You had a heart of gold, you were stern when you needed to be and gentle probably more than you should have been. You always made sure I knew how proud you were of me. You welcomed Ken into the family with open arms and always asked about him during our talks. You always made sure no matter where you were at when I came to visit I had a good time. You touched a lot of peoples lives and you will always be with me..
Love you so very much

Wayne Clement- a man of respect, a million stories, a million memories. From the betting of the horse races to sharing a good bottle of Scotch. You had kindness in your heart- a true heart of gold, & sunshine in your smile .Invaluable advice, a life full of experiences, never a lack of words.Throughout life you worked hard & played hard, always doing it Waynes way.
Thank you for always loving me like a daughter( at times even your favourite!) and for loving my kids like your own.
We will think of you often and miss you always. May the country tunes in Heaven be cranked and the Horse Races begin...........
We love you dad!

My Dad is hard headed, stubborn, determined, driven, successful, smart, hot tempered, opinionated, handsome, hands on, a talker, and an incredible horseman.
He loved Elvis, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and could be found most days on the job site over seeing his men, or at the racetrack.
His companies probably built most of Vancouver Island (no exaggeration), I bet half of Red Deer and a good portion of Grand Prairie. He owned and bred racehorses, as did his Dad and maybe even his Dad. He would take his hand and gently place it near the ribs and shoulder of the horse ..he’d mumble something you’d never be able to make out, as I’m sure it was in another language, and tell you if you had a good horse or not. He’d also say that if your dog had a black roof on the top of their mouth, they where a good dog.
He never, ever, ever stopped dreaming. Anything he wanted he found a way to bring it forward as I have yet to meet a man with such will and determination as my Dad.
As a young man he was a boxer and was very good at it. Once I heard my Grandma say .. he thought he was 10 ft tall and bullet proof. lol
He always thought men should settle their own fights and arguments. That sure didn’t make him an easy man, but one thing is for sure…. he was and is forever a good man with a heart of gold.
My Mom use to say that my Dad would give you the shirt off his back. He treated his guests like royalty and never expected anything in return. He raised 6 kids with my Mom and god knows that wasn’t easy and he wasn’t perfect…but he did the best he could with the knowledge he had at the time.
My Dad went to heaven today ..and I’m pretty sure a piece of my heart went with him.
He gave me the greatest gift he could ever give a daughter..and that’s to teach me to never, ever, ever give up on my dreams and everyone you love is worth fighting for.
I love you Dad and you are always, always ...in my heart.
