We are so sadden to hear of the passing of Kenny. He was such a good neighbour to have while we lived in Centreville. No matter what you were doing, where you were going or who was with you, there was always a “hi, how are you doing”. Our condolences are with you at this sad time.

Ken was a helpful neighbour to me for decades, and we had many interesting and amusing chats about farming, tractors, township issues, local history and local characters. My condolences to all the family.

Dear Gayle, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I know how much my dad (Cliff Gurnsey) loved your mom and dad. My sisters and I grew up listening to his stories of the time he spent living with them and helping on their farm. They touched him and molded him in a profound way. Sending condolences to you and all of your family. Best regards, Carolyn Morrison.

Dear Gayle, Wendy, Wayne and the extended Smith families my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Ken. He was such a part of my life as a neighbour, Fair Board member and involved community man. Growing up in Centreville it was not unusual to see a hay wagon loaded with the Smith boys. When I wanted to join the fair board(up to then women were not on the board) Kenny stood up and said”if Gwen wants on the Board she should be allowed.” I’ve never forgotten it. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Gwen Babcock (Whalen)

I am so saddened to hear of Ken's passing. I will cherish the memories of all the fun times and laughs camping, traveling and playing cards around the kitchen table in Centreville. I'd like to think that Dad was there to welcome him, maybe with the cross-cut saw. Another great one is gone.....we will miss you Ken.
Love always
