To all the Simpson siblings and their families, my sincere condolences. I will always remember Albert with a smile on his face. I have fond memories of our visits to the farm where there most certainly would be a card game commencing...
Cherish your memories and find comfort in the fact that your parents are now reunited.

Well today we say our final fairwell to this man, my Uncle Albert. So many memories, the earliest one being me kicking him in the shin while he was having a dance with my Mother, he forgave me and we laughed about for years. He was not only my Uncle but for many year's my neighbour...always a friendly wave as he would drive by on his way to the hay field, he was never too busy to stop and have a visit, share a story or have a cold beer. He would say to me, "how's Miss. Jane today ?" Many trips I would make across the road and up the hill to have a visit and a few beverages with him and my Aunt Let...their door was always open.
You were a good man Uncle Albert, may you rest in peace as your memory and stories live on through your loved ones.
Love as always, Miss. Jane

Dad, the greatest gift you ever gave me was that you believed in me. When you left, you took with you a piece of my heart. I will miss our shared adventures as your journey takes you down a different path, but you shall remain forever in my heart..... never to be forgotten. Love Maureen xo

Maureen, I know how close you were to your Dad. I never met him; however I felt I knew him in just a small way with all the stories that you shared with me about your Dad. It sounds like he loved his farm and family and lived life to the fullest. Cherish all your happiest memories. My condolences to both you and your family.

Under sad circumstances in my life, I had the privalege to meet Albert and a large circle of his family. They were all there to help me and my family through a very difficult time. I am so deeply saddened by the passing of your Dad, Grand Dad. Myself and my sister Jill had the opportunity to visit him at his home/farm a couple of years later. He was such a personable and interesting man. The photo is of ourselves and an old farm tractor. He loved his life and his farm. May the memories keep him close at heart.
Sincerely
Joanne Sparkes

Uncle Albert,
You always had a story to tell and I don’t think I heard the same one twice (ok, maybe 1 or 2 lol). You had sage advice when needed. The country kitchen was always open to family and friends. I am the man I am today in part due to the influence of you and Aunt Loretta. The white farmhouse on the hill where I slept many a night. Picking rocks out of the fields. Collecting eggs from the henhouse. Picking and podding peas and snapping beans. Brian and I chasing down Bucky, tying baler twine to his halter, climbing onto his back via the hay elevator and walking him to get apples. Greg letting Brian and I ride on the backs of the pigs in the barn. Learning how to play euchre and cribbage in your kitchen. The number of meals I ate there for special occasions, holidays or just pop-in visits. Your voice of anger and concern as you told Brian and I to get out of the pig pen before big ol’ Brutus speared us with his tusks. The day when as a young adult, I was outside wrestling with young teens Andrew, Scott and Ryan, when they were much shorter than the 6ft young men they are today, you came over and singlehandedly pulled us all off the pile and told us to sit down before someone gets hurt. When you met my girlfriend Janet, after speaking to her for an hour about cows, you told me she has Aunt Let’s (and yours) seal of approval. At our wedding, when I answered the Minister that I will take Janet as my wife, you shouted out “You better or I’ll thump you!”, while shaking your cane at me. Your guidance all my life has always been respected and appreciated. Aunt Loretta has called you home. Say hello to her for me. Love to you both.
