Obituary of Norman Stuart McFarland

Norm passed away peacefully at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital on Monday, April 12, 2021, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Elsie (nee Farr) for 64 years. Dear father of Kenneth (Roxanne), Keith (Karen) and Karl (Heather). Very proud and cherished grandfather of Stirling, Amanda (Mark) and Victoria (Sam). Predeceased by his parents Gladys and Thomas McFarland, his sisters May Davis, Marion Thompson and Muriel Thorne (Ken) and by his brothers Harold, George, Edward, Manley and Morley McFarland. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Diana Farr (late Harry) and by his many nieces and nephews and their families.

 

Special thanks to Norm’s care providers - Josh, Kim, Jenn, Bobbie Jo and Jenn, your friendship and compassionate care will be forever remembered. Also, special thanks to Dr. Basia Farnell and the nursing staff at L&A Hospital for the excellent care provided to Norm during his stay.

 

A private family Funeral Service will be held at the Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa. Interment will follow at Wilton Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
