I knew Herman during my childhood in Napanee. He was a gental soft spoken man. I remember him coming for dinner with my parents, and mostly I remember a very quiet laugh that shook him from head to toe. He was a gentleman and a good person. I missed him when he moved from our congregation. My deepest condolences to Herman's family.
