It was truly an honor to have known Wayne. He was a kind and gentle man with only one small flaw, being a Chicago Black Hawk's fan. May the angels rejoice as a good soul has finally made its way home. Sincere sympathy to Lorraine and family.

What can I say about Wayne? From the moment he came into our lives, his huge heart, and a wit to match, was a great presence and influence for our entire family. You could always count on Wayne. I remember driving on the 401 with a bed fastened to the roof of the vehicle, as he helped me move home. At family gatherings, after roasting me about my beloved Leafs, he'd come over and be sure you knew he was only being playful, and flash that warm and kind smile. Lorraine found her true love, who was just a wonderful person and partner. I will miss the banter and that smile. Thank you, Wayne, for always showing me kindness. You were one of a kind. Love always. Jan Murphy.

Wayne was so kind a had a great sense of humor. It didn't matter how poorly he felt he always spoke and made you feel welcome. When he came to our home with Lorraine he always had a supply of dog treats for our 2 dogs. They saw he coming and knew he was not empty handed. They also knew he had more than 1 each. We will meet again and in the mean time we will look out for the love of your life Lorraine and make sure she is okay

Wayne was my next door neighbour and whenever he saw me outside, he'd crack a joke. If I was cutting the lawn he'd tell me it would be snowing soon enough, and if I was out shoveling snow he'd say, "Won't be long now, and you'll be cutting the grass!"

RPN from Friendly Manor Lorraine, I truly enjoyed getting to know Wayne these short few months at the manor. Lorraine, you were truly blessed to have Wayne for a husband and friend. I know how much you are going to miss him. I love you Lorraine. He was so good to you and loved you unconditionally. Wayne was a great person. He was kind, gentle, witty, always smiling and cried when he felt your pain. He was someone you could count on, someone who would do anything for you, someone I am going to miss. Wayne I will never forget you and all the things you did for my family. I will always remember the great times we had visiting you and Lorraine in London and the times we travelled to Troy’s hockey games. You are not suffering anymore my friend. I love you Wayne. Keep smiling. Until we meet again. Jane Murphy

René and Wayne met on Military posting in Lahr Germany in 1974. They quickly became good friends and when Brenda was transferred there he quickly became her friend as well.During everyone’s posting at CFB Borden Ontario René was away for 6 months and Wayne came over to the house every weekend to cut the lawn and stay for dinner. He even won the heart of Brenda’s Mom who lived with them. René and Wayne remained good friends until the end. We wish him Godspeed in our Lord’s loving arms and prayers and love to Lorraine and family.
