Obituary of Pamela Leigh Chalmers (Shetler)

October 8, 1959 – August 6, 2021

In her 62^nd year, Pam passed away peacefully at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital surrounded by her loving immediate family. Loving partner and soulmate of Douglas Law. Dear daughter of Mary (nee VanAlstine) and the late Gordon Shetler. Loving mother of Courtney (Derek), Jacob (Leighann) and Thomas (Kayla) and doting gramma to Dawson, her shining light. Cherished sister of Gary (Heather), Jane (the late Delmer) and Nancy (John) and lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families.

Pam will always be remembered for her love of children, her strong work ethic, and those who were fortunate enough to have received her gifts of sincere caring and devoted attention with special mention of the late Angele Law, the late Joy West and so many more. Thank you to all the health care providers, especially Dr. Sandra Cowan, Dr. Cameron MacLean and RPN Karen Kelly for their understated care, compassion and empathy.

A Celebration of Pam’s Life will be held at the Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373) on Pam’s Birthday, Friday, October 8, 2021 from 1-3 pm. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Napanee. For those desiring, memorial donations to the L&A Hospital Foundation will be remembered with appreciation by the family.
