Obituary of Peter Verkerk

Petrus Anthony Verkerk passed away peacefully at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, in his 88^th year. Beloved husband of Gertrude (nee Perrault) for 64 years. Dear father of Ray (Janice) of Kingston, Ida Colbary (Gill) of Oshawa, Ron (Lissa) of Verona and Joyce Verkerk (Will Caron) of Sudbury. Lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also remembered by his extended family, and several family members in Holland.

The family will receive friends at the Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373) on Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 2-4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 490 Days Road, Kingston on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 11 am. Rite of Committal will follow at Annunciation Cemetery, Chippewa.

For those desiring, memorial donations to a charity of choice will be remembered with appreciation by the family.
