We didn't know Jan well, but saw her from time to time over the summers while out walking. She was always so friendly with a huge smile in spite of what she might have been dealing with. She was a true inspiration to others. We are very sorry for your loss Tom! She will be greatly missed! Big hugs to you and your family!

We are so sad to hear about the passing of Jan.
She was such a trooper through all of her challenges these past couple of years. We had planned a long overdue visit this month as it had been too many years since we had got together and in speaking on the phone recently, had no idea how sick she was as she was always so positive. Met her and Tom in our twenties as neighbours and she was a bridesmaid at our wedding.
May she Rest In Peace. Until we meet again upstairs my friend. Our sincere condolences to Tom and her family.

My condolences to Tom and family. I had the pleasure of working with Janet in the ER at KGH. What a breath of fresh air and sunshine she was. Always smiling and cheerful. May you find comfort in your memories of the Happy time you spent with her. May she rest in peace.

To Tom, the girls, grandchildren, brother and inlaws, nieces, nephews and friends. We are so sorry for the loss of Jan. She was such a special lady, full of life and fun, love and laughter. Always there to lend a hand, share a cocktail, dance, sing, play, so many memories.
I met Jan 38 years ago at Don Hopwood's party. I was 25, Jan was 35, and we hit it off right away. A grand friendship began. Many years of sharing vacations, camping trips with the girls, visiting each others homes.
Florida was our great escape. We had many escapades, and had so much fun traveling, testing margarita's on the way, judging bathrooms on a scale of 1-10.
All our shopping escapades, beach walks, pool lounging & swimming. I could probably write about about Jan.
In all my life, I have never met such an upbeat, loving, caring, giving, funny, charming (but don't cross her!!!) person.
Today, I thought of you, Jan, while I was watering my garden. Yesterday I thought of you, Jan, while I was eating ribs and remembering you up to your elbows in garlic butter, while diving into crab legs and lobster :)
There are no words to tell you how I will miss you. We just have so much history together, and after I moved to Texas, I so missed our visits. My hopes were that some day I would get to Canada or you to Texas for one of our visits. Life has a way of making it's own plans.
I know you are in heaven now. I know you are healed, and that you are definitely an Angel, probably with a pretty big pair of wings.
You are always in my heart, and always in my thoughts my dear friend.
Tommy, I am so sorry my dear friend, and I hope you have a lot of support, and I am always here for you. I will attempt to attach photos. I will probably have to do them one at at time.
All my love to all who have lost our special Jan <3
