Obituary of Bob McBride

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Robert Royce McBride announce his passing on Thursday, December 22, 2022, in his 78th year. He leaves behind his beloved wife Mary (nee Hunter), his children Lynn (Kevin), Derrick (Sonya) and Chad, and stepchildren Shaun, Scott (Tanja) and Ian (Jennifer). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Jason, Cameron (Kelcie), Amanda (Brad), Owen, Isla, Nomi, Brennan and Nola, and great granddaughter Evalea. Greatly missed by his brother Rick Wagar. Fondly remembered by many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Predeceased by his wife Sharon McBride, his mother Theda Scott (Victor), and Ken Cameron.

Bob was a long time member of the Odessa Lions Club and the Antique and Classic Car Club of Canada. He was employed by Rosen Fuels as a furnace installer, Vicom and Alcan as a tool and die maker, and owner and operator of Oil Changers for 34 years. He will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends at the Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa on Friday, January 20^th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Emmanuel United Church, 63 Factory St., Odessa on Saturday, January 21^st at 11 am. Inurnment Wilton Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
