I’m very sad to hear of Dave’s passing. My sincere condolences to his family. I knew Dave through working at LC. We had many chats over the years he worked there. From rodeo in his younger days , a love of country guitar and true character, Dave was a consummate cowboy. I was always struck by his kindness for people and his humility. I will miss you Dave but I will never forget you.

I went to High School with Dave always had fun and good laugh. Met up with him a couple times since and was the same old loving, carefree person. Not many around like him. Rest In Peace my friend

I met Dave when I started working at LCVI. He was incredibly kind, so hard working, and unfailingly warm. We had some great conversations after school, often about music and his grandchildren. I looked forward to saying hello to him everyday. I am so sorry to hear of his passing - sending my condolences to his family and friends.

Dave was the custodian in our hall at Calvin Park for a number of years. He was always positive, kind, and a joy to be around. I think fondly of our after school chats, and how he always called my son “big man” even when he was a toddler. I will always remember how Dave spoke lovingly about his grandkids, and how he put people around him at ease. Dave, you will be missed. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

My deepest sympathies to your family. I knew Dave at LCVI as he was my classroom custodian for several years. We had many great chats, especially when he found out I was from NB. He would always ask about my summer trips back home. Margot

It is such sadness to hear about Daves passing. I worked with Dave throughout many years on the Board of Education in Facility Services. He was a very nice guy , very kind hearted , always gave his help in whatever he could do. He had a great sense of humor and could make you laugh/smile even on the roughest of days. My sincere Condolences to Daves Family and Friends , my Prayers are with you all.

In our ‘younger years’ Dave and I were very close friends and shared many memories that I often recall, and will always cherish. With the passing of time, life gradually dictated that our paths would go in different directions and we eventually lost touch with each other, but I’ll always have those memories. My deepest condolences to Dave’s family.
Rest in peace Dave.

Oh Kevin I remember those days well. You, Gerry and Dave working on cars in your dad's garage on highway 2! I would often bring my Camaro over and one of you would take it for a drive!!! I reconnected with Dave several times, a few times when he lived in Sydenham! Many great memories! Fly high sweet man!

Jeremy, Zach and the McCoy Families,
The passing of Dave is a huge loss for all of us who were privileged to cross paths with him. Dave was one of the most kind-hearted and generous people I have known. I first met Dave during his time at LCVI and over these last few months re-connected and spent time with him at our family farm in Erinsville, repairing a tractor and getting advice from him on all things farm related.
Dave and I shared a lot of interests, but most important among those was our love of John Prine and his songs. I am pretty sure that John Prine would have written a song about Dave, if he had the chance to get to know him. I am thinking that song would have been titled "The Real McCoy", because Dave was "real" in every aspect of his life and kindness to others.
Safe travels, Dave. Miss ya already.

Jeremy and Zach, Sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. He was a one of a kind man that’s for sure. Always telling jokes and strumming the guitar. I’ll always be thankful to him for lending me his white electric “Tele” style guitar when I was a young teenager. He taught me my first chords on guitar and I haven’t looked back. Truly a great man. I’ll always remember doing chores on the farm with you guys and my dad, always keeping my head up for the next prank.
