Obituary of Betty Grant (McCutcheon)

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 22, 2023, into the loving arms of Jesus Christ her Saviour and Lord. A resident of the John M. Parrott Centre in Napanee since March of 2021, in her 87th year. Loving and devoted wife of Elwood Russell for 16 years and the late Laverne Grant (2002) for 45 years. Dear mother of Roger Grant (Colleen), Cheryl Hughes (John) and Karl Grant (Melody). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Andrew Grant (Kerry), Mark Grant (Niki), Kevin Hughes (Leanna), Meredeth Hoogsteen (Mitchell), Jocelin Hughes (Noah), Olivia Hughes, Keli Grant (Laura), Kris Grant (Amanda) and Sadi Desrochers (Pat), and by her great grandchildren Silas, Julianna, Savannah, Madison, Jonathan, William, Oaklee and Navy. Survived by siblings James McCutcheon, Earl McCutcheon, Verna Thompson (Eldon) and Freda Youmans (Garfield). Predeceased by her parents George (1984) and Laura McCutcheon (2010). Also missed by many nieces and nephews and their families.

The family will receive friends at Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main Street, Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373) on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 10–12 pm. Funeral Service will follow at 12 pm. Interment Wilton Cemetery.
