Obituary of Penny Smart (Peeling)

It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Penny Lynne Smart announce her passing on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre. Beloved wife and best friend of Darryl Smart and loving mother of Samantha (Dwayne) and Eric. Cherished grandmother of Sloan and Brinnly. Dear sister of the late Stanley, the late Lola, Luke (Linda) of Shannonville, the late Sidney, the late Pauline, Patricia of Tyendinaga, the late Sharon, Joe (Kay) of Picton, Judy (Don) of Hanover, June of Alberta, Bill (Lynn) of Ingersoll, the late Nancy, Diane of Alberta, Susan (Gary) of Belleville, the late Peter and Steven of Alberta. Predeceased by her parents Edmund and Muriel Peeling, and father-in-law Lorne “Ted” Smart. Lovingly remembered by her mother-in-law Jacqueline Smart, Penny & Theo Nibourg, many nieces, nephews and cousins, Pam’s Flower Garden, Branch 280, and many friends. Special thanks to Susan and Penny for their love and continued support.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Penny's Life will be held downstairs at the Deseronto Legion - Br. 280 (340 Main Street, Deseronto) on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 1 - 7 pm. For those desiring, memorial donations to the Lennox and Addington Interval House would be appreciated by the family.
