Dear Family: We, the families of The Compassionate Friends, send you our heartfelt condolences on Parker’s passing. The Compassionate Friends is an international, non-denominational, grief support group for parents, grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child. Our only mission is to provide comfort, hope and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, brother or sister, or grandchild, and to help others better assist the grieving family. We meet monthly on the first Wednesday at the New Hope Church, 5307 Fairview Rd, Greenwood, IN 46142 and on the third Tuesday at the Epworth United Methodist, 6450 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46220. Both meetings begin at 6:30pm. If, and when, you are ready to do so, please join us for either, or both, meetings. We Need Not Walk Alone. We are The Compassionate Friends. I remember last year when I drove back from Arizona after rescuing Big Lou and I stopped at a motel in Kingston. Biz and Parker came to meet Lou and Parker and I sat on the bed and shared donuts and got crumbs all over the bed. Parker giggled when I said “it’s ok, I’m not sleeping in this bed anyway” as I pointed to the other bed that I WAS going to sleep in. Another funny memory was when Chris and I were on our way back from dropping River off for school and we had a bbq and bonfire in the back yard at Bizzy and Preston’s. Chris was eating chips and Parker gave Chris hell because he “wasn’t supposed to have chips right before supper”. Shine bright, little man…❤️

Dearest Biz and Preston, we are beside ourselves thinking about everything you have gone through these past several months. That said, we cannot imagine a better set of parents for Parker to choose before he came to earth. He was beyond fortunate to have you both and his bright spirit is unarguably a reflection of the love and wonder that you instilled in him. Your strength and resilience is beyond measure, but most of all, your love is eternal. Let it guide you on this next part of your journey as it guided Parker through his short but remarkable time on this earth with you. He will meet you in the next life, we have no doubts. We will never forget your excitement when he was born, the intense pride you had for him or how he fell asleep most easily when being rocked to that particular Justin Bieber song when he was only a few months old. He looked like both of you. The same grin, the same twinkle of joy and enviable intelligence in his eyes…There are no words to comfort you, only our love and the reminder to hold tightly to the memories you made together. Parker had the sweetest voice and infectious giggle! His visits were eventful with our littles! Although he loved seeing the chickens at the one visit, he was happy for them to keep their distance - the kids will never forget (even though I’m sure Parker was happy to forget it happened) the time he experienced the gushy chicken poop between his toes when he unfortunately stepped in the wrong spot! Sending all our love to you guys ❤️
