Maria was a treasured and longstanding member of Wilton Women's Institute sharing her culinary skills for many a fundraising bake sale. Her almond cake was a favourite --- and some of us are still making it , remembering Maria with every delicious morsel.

We are sad to see another long time Wilton person passing. She was a tireless worker and contributed much to this community We are happy though to have her butter cake recipe and do enjoy it often. It is very special. our sympathy to the whole family Bob and Jane Bird and family
