JAMES: Eliza-Jane went to be with The Lord peacefully on Sunday June 15, 2014 at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital Kingston. Eliza-Jane James (nee Hodgins) born in Admaston Township , Renfrew County on Feb. 17, 1931. Daughter of the late Lester and Annie Hodgins (nee Bowes). She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed preparing delicious meals over the years for her family, friends and many church functions. She was a generous and gracious host welcoming all to her home. She loved to have fun, had a great sense of humor, loved her family unconditionally and most importantly had an unwavering faith in God. She served the Lord as a pastor’s Wife in the Holiness Movement Church and Free Methodist Church. She was a member of the Kingston West Free Methodist Church. Survived by her loving husband, of 64 years, Reynolds James. Loving mother to William (Marilyn); Stewart; Bonny Chapman (Peter) and Anne Kenny (Vernon). Loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren; Rachel Spink (Derek); Natalie Baker (Justin); Laura Tompson (Corwin); Nicole Chapman; Melissa Kenny; Julianna James; Jennifer Chapman; Victoria Edwards (Zach); Lindsay Chapman; Aaron Chapman. A proud great grandmother to Hailey Baker. Dear sister to Rita Somek (her late husband William); Shirley Thompson (her late husband Wallace); Esther Robinson (Courtney); Ethelwyn Leavitt (her late husband Gary); Walter Hodgins (Jane).; and sister-in-law Lois Hodgins. Pre-deceased by her sisters and their husbands; Viola McRory (George); Jean Orser (Gordon); Baby Mary-Edna and two brothers Ellard and Winston. Eliza–Jane loved her many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Wednesday June 18, 2014 at the Kingston West Free Methodist Church, 1575 Woodbine Rd., Kingston from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be held in the church Thursday June 19, 2014 at 11 am. Interment Hicksite Cemetery, Bloomfield ON.
