Obituary of John Raine

It is with great sadness that John’s family announce his passing after a brief illness, with his family by his side. He left this world with dignity. John is survived by his son, Johnny Raine of Alberta and his daughter Angela O’Neil (Aaron) of Odessa. He will be forever missed by his grandsons, Andrew O’Neil (Rachel) and Zachary O’Neil (Mariah), and cherished great grandchildren Braelynn, Bria, Nina and Regi. Predeceased by his parents William Raine and Elizabeth (née Storey) of Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, and brother Bill Raine (Ann) of Wales. John will be lovingly remembered by immediate and extended family and many good friends, both near and far.

John’s life long passion was motorcycles. He loved to travel by camper van, towing his motorcycles for adventures far and wide. He still dreamed that one day he might ride again. Cremation has taken place, with a private family graveside service to follow at Riverview Cemetery in Napanee.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity close to your heart in John’s memory. Arrangements entrusted to Payne Funeral Home in Odessa. Please share your memories and condolences to the family.
