From the moment my sister Janean fell in love with the boy next door, Sandy, the Hagers and the Messengers have been one extended family. It started with Muriel and Keith and Jean and Bob and then Janean and Sandy became a family. Over the last 50 years we have had so many good times and great memories and Sandy was always there as a brother in law you could count on, for advice and help. His sense of humour, laughter and the “amazed look” that came to his face as you recounted a story to him was priceless.
We are heartbroken that Sandy has left us too soon. We will cherish the memories of Sandy as a devoted husband, proud father, loving “Papa” and trusted “brother” in law.
