I have so many lovely memories of holidays in Newburgh with Edith and my father, getting to know Canada and Edith’s family. Our memories of Edith are those of a good friend and neighbour with a kind heart who loved cards and laughter after dinner with Jean, Di and I. My favourite phrase however is a stern “ ... it's no happnin'.. " most often used in regard to household changes or offers of help.
We will forever picture her on her back porch, tending her garden or smiling with a good hand of euchre.
