Obituary of Mildred A. Hunter (nee Hogeboom)
It is with a mixture of sadness and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce Mildred, in her 104th year, passed away peacefully at The John M. Parrott Centre on Monday, July 15, 2019. Loving and cherished mother of George (Dorothy), June Potter (Donald), Norma Christiani, Norman (Diane), Mary McBride (Bob), Ron (Linda) and mother-in-law of Rosemarie Hunter. Forever remembered by her nineteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and nineteen great great grandchildren. Mildred will be sadly missed by her siblings Clara Young, Alice Turnbull, Leona Marlow and George Hogeboom and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Walter Hogeboom, her husband Charles Hunter, son James, daughter-in-law Mary Lou Hunter (Marlow), sons-in-law, Clare Crawford and Robert Christiani, grandchildren Joey and Kevin Kotowicz and Randy and Peter Hunter. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to the staff of The Riverine Retirement Home and the John M. Parrott Centre, particularly those of Rose Garden for the exceptional care provided to Mildred. The family will receive friends at the Paul G. Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa (613-386-7373) on Thursday, July 18th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service at Emmanuel United Church, 63 Factory St., Odessa on Friday, July 19th at 11 a.m., with visitation at the church one hour prior.
