We are so very sorry to hear of the passing of John Obress ! He always had a mischievious smile that showed right thru his big blue eyes! As kids, my sister Susan (Saxton-Hamel) and myself (Sandi Saxton) have great memories of playing with John's kids, JohnJohn and Lynnie as we called them! Nerf frisbee, riding tricycles and always playing way too loud lol.
John was a very dear, great friend to our Dad (Bud Saxton) ! John always came over to our place for a party, or vice versa, and we all specifically remember one time, when he came by with a cast on his arm! Being the joker he was, he said: ask me what time it is ? With that, he held up his cast arm to show how he'd chiseled out a spot to glue in the head of a watch !! Right into the cast !! You know you're 'one of a kind' then, for sure!!
John was one of a kind, one of our Dad's best buddies, and a personality larger than life !
On behalf of our Dad (Bud), our Mom (Charlene), my sister (Susan) and myself (Sandi), we want to extend our deepest condolences! We are all very saddened to hear this news!

It’s so hard to describe someone who meant so much to so many people. To find the words to explain how it feels to lose someone who has had such an impact on our lives. Pop had the truest soul and most genuine heart. His stories always made us laugh and he loved nothing more than spending time with his family. Anyone who was lucky enough to know Pop, knows how selfless, kind, caring, and generous he was. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He had a big part in shaping Travis into the gentleman he is today. He always treated me like one of his grandchildren, which I am forever grateful for, just like he was a grandfather figure to me. Pop was the kind of person who light up any room he walked into. The biggest thing that I learned from Pop was the meaning of true love, the way he loved Nan was like a fairytale. His memory will live on forever❤️ Rest In Peace Pop, we love you
