Obituary of Marilyn Jean Babin (Lawrence)

Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Dec. 10, 1938 – Feb. 5, 2021

Peacefully and confidently, Marilyn passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021, surrounded by the love of family. Predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Reginald Babin of Bathurst NB, and brother Owen Lawrence. Loving mother of Rev. Phil Wilson (Jennifer), grandmother of Andrew, Kyra, and Taylor. She will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, Aunt Shirley and dear friend Marie Louise Boucher.

After a career as a Data Entry Operator in Oshawa, Marilyn and Reg moved to Bathurst where she established new roots until moving back to Ontario in 2018. Marilyn was a woman of independence, courage, and faith. Her faith gave her the confidence and comfort that she was going to be reunited with Reg, continuing their love story, and Jesus.

Marilyn wished to express her appreciation to Stephanie DeLine of the South East Local Health Integration Network, Dr. Hagarty, and Dr. McLean for their continued support and care.

Interment will be held at Mount Lawn Cemetery in Whitby on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 2 pm. For those wishing to, a memorial donation to Old Hay Bay Church (General Account) or Riverside United Church is greatly appreciated. (C/O PO Box 53, Yarker Ontario K0K 3N0).

Arrangements entrusted to Jason Smith of Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main Street, Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0.

Please share your memories and condolences to the family.
