Obituary of Percy Peterson
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, Percy Wayne Peterson. Percy was born on August 8, 1958 and passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2021. Percy will be sadly missed by his wife and long time best friend Lynda, Percy and Lynda spent 45 years together. Percy became a Dad to Steven in 1986. He was such a proud Dad and loved Steven very much. Steven gave Percy more to love when he married Karlee and gave Percy 3 beautiful granddaughters Claire, Michelle and Rosie. Percy was a very proud Granpapa and will be sadly missed always.
He is predeceased by his Father, Ken Peterson and by his Mother, Joan Derochie. Percy is survived by his siblings Paul (Elaine), Judy (Paul), Thelma, Kathy (John), Lori (Rick), Tim (Leah), Darren (Theresa), Perry and Marjorie. Percy was also loved by his in-laws. Predeceased by his Father-in-Law, Wilfrid Turcotte. He is survived by his Mother-in-Law Marjorie Turcotte and by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bev (Randy), Denis (Linda), Denise (Doug), Paul (Tammy) and Lisa (Roger). He will be sadly missed by the many nieces and nephews he had on both sides of his family. Percy was loved by many and will be greatly missed forever.
As per Percy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his Life will be held at Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 2-4 pm. Due to covid restrictions, family and friends are asked to please confirm their attendance and a time to see the family. Face masks are required and physical distancing is mandatory inside and outside of the funeral home. Refreshments will follow at the home of Lisa & Roger Parsons. We want to thank all that were there for Percy, Lynda, Steven, Karlee and family.
