I met M.Noel almost 7 years ago when I entered into a relationship with his youngest son Mike. When we visited, he would mostly stay in the living room and read his paper,
a quiet man.
After Mme Noel passed 4 years ago, he had to interact a little more during our visits. I discovered a man who lived through so many adventures. He had so many interesting stories to tell about his time in the merchant marines, his travelling salesman years, his hockey coaching days and of course, his happiest memories of courtship and raising a family with his beloved Jeannette.
I am grateful for the last few weeks where I got to be by his side, rub his feet, watch old black and white movies and share a beer or two.
Thank you M. et Mme Noel for welcoming me into your family, you are both missed terribly.
