Recently a wise elderly gentleman from the farming community that I have come to know, recently said to me, "that you really never get over the loss but rather only learn how to deal with your loss". Everyone grieves somewhat differently and it is never easy to say goodbye to a loved one, but a common element of "TIME" helps move you forward in our Journey of life.
Only childhood memories of attending traditional family gatherings at Corn Roasts provides me with such a flashback of remembering Bernice as a relative. Personal attendance at the Services for Bernice has provided me with an opportunity not only to reconnect, but to reflect, preserve and pay respect to Warren and other family members and it is for this I am thankful that I am able to be back in the Community at the time of her celebration of life.
