My condolences and hugs to Joan and Vincent and all their families. Uncle Eugene will always be remembered by me for his sense of humor and practical jokes. I so enjoyed hearing his stories of growing up on the Kidd farm with my dad. In my younger years I remember the fun times our family had with his family camping out at the Lake or attending a family reunion. Sadly, he is the last of the era of "Kidd boys" for that generation. I'm sure he's now reuniting with Ma & Pa and his 5 brothers and infant sister. God love him and may he rest in peace.

Fond memories of “The Boys of Summer.” As we were growing up in Michigan, sometime in June or July, usually Gene and one other brother would come to the States for a visit. My dad, Charlie Kidd, (John Charles-brother to Vincent Kidd) would look forward to the extra help they provided on his Sealtest milk routes. I looked forward to softball games on our property that also had horses running around from the local riding stable. We wandered department stores, amusement parks and had great times together. When we visited Tamworth, there was always a party at the Vincent Kidd family farm. As kids we danced to piano, fiddle, accordion music in the living room where chairs were pushed to the wall for a dance floor. Cousins Rita , Mary, Helen would step dance. Always. There was fun and laughter in the Kidd/McMullen clan and Gene was so much a contributor to the joy of family. His family reunion was complete with four generations enjoying one another. Gene will be greatly missed as well as the brothers who passed before him. Remember him and keep the joy of family in your hearts. Mary Charlotte Kidd Charlie Kidd’s daughter
